Why HVHZ and WBDR Compliance Matters

High-Velocity Hurricane Zones (HVHZ) refer to regions—such as Miami-Dade and Broward Counties in Florida—where products must meet the highest impact resistance standards. Wind-Borne Debris Regions (WBDR) are broader areas that require enhanced protection against flying debris during severe storms.

For dealers, remodelers, and builders, offering products that meet these requirements is critical for both regulatory compliance and market growth. ODL’s expansive impact-rated portfolio provides the flexibility needed to address a wide range of design preferences and structural requirements—all while meeting the toughest standards.
