ODL, Inc. to suspend Mexico manufacturing due to COVID-19

Hello Friends,

Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting our families, our businesses, our communities, and our way of life. Our top priority is the health and safety of our teammates and our customer partners. As mentioned in previous updates, we have implemented broad safety measures in all our facilities in accordance with the CDC guidelines.

Given new developments we wanted to reach out and update you as it relates to the ODL family. On Tuesday, the Mexican government issued a shutdown of “non-essential activities” through the end of April. This will require us to suspend our Mexico manufacturing facility located in Matamoros through April 30th. Last week we suspended operations in our MI and OH plants through April 13th.

At ODL, we designed a global supply chain with duplicate manufacturing sites in multiple countries in order to reduce supply chain risk. This supply chain has allowed us to weather many storms and deliver industry best customer service for many years. We will weather this global pandemic as well. However, in the near term we will experience supply disruptions that will impact our collective businesses. We will lean on our safety stock in our distribution centers across the US and Canada over the next two weeks. We will replenish those once we are able to resume normal operations in our North American plants. In the meantime, we ask for your patience and understanding.

As always, thank you for your partnership. It’s especially appreciated in these unimaginable times.

Regards,

Townes A. Parsley
Senior Vice President
